HR 1012 makes grants available to communities with vulnerable populations to create extreme weather shelters. The bill specifically directs the governing bodies to accommodate pets in the shelters. HB 1012
HR 1234 clarifies the authority for law enforcement agencies and local animal care and control agencies to take possession of an abused or neglected animal, and authorizes the civil forfeiture of a seized animal as a matter of law under certain circumstances. It allows the accused the right to petition to regain possession of the animal. HB 1234
HR 1424 allows pet stores to sell dogs and cats under certain conditions. Stores are required to inspect breeder reports, sell from licensed breeders, and post documentation. Animal control agencies can offer dogs and cats for adoption at pet stores, and loans cannot be used to purchase the animals. HB 1424
